Our 4 week Summer Program includes Reading, Writing, Math every day with Science Experiments, Robotics, and Art. This is a great opportunity for kids to meet and interact with other children working together in a positive and collaborative learning environment.
This program has limited space and fills up quickly.
Yes! While our program is designed for students with dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalculia, we believe that any child can benefit from learning through structured literacy instruction and multi sensory instruction.
Our summer program meets a variety of needs. Many of our summer students are students from our day program or our tutoring program that wish to maintain their progress through the summer. We also have students who are new to LGA and use the 4 week program as a first step toward joining either the day program or the tutoring program in the future. Either way, the explicit instruction in reading, writing and math will help your student develop or maintain skills used for students with learning related processing issues.
Our 4 week summer program is $2300, with a $300 deposit due at enrollment. The balance is due by the first day of summer school.
We use the Barton Reading and Spelling System, Making Math Real and Excellence in Writing as ourbase curriculums. We often create fun activities for our elective periods, usually based around science and art.
Summer school is in session from M-Th, 9am-12:30pm with a snack/recess break at 10:30am.
Our summer school consists of 4 periods: reading, writing, math, and an elective that is decided on each year. Students will spend 45 minutes in each period, receiving explicit instruction from a trained instructor who is specialized in the subject they teach.
