For summer school, Reading Assessments will be administered prior to enrollment, and at the end of the school year.

The actual testing process can take anywhere from 2–4 hours, depending upon the age of the student. This testing can be broken up into two different sessions.
An IEP will require an assessment from an educational psychologist. Our screenings are meant for parental information only. This screening will help identify whether or not dyslexia is the underlying cause of learning challenges your student is experiencing, and will also provide suggestions for remediation and accommodations.
The cost of a dyslexia screening is based on the age and grade of the student, as well as whether they currently have an IEP or 504 plan in place. All prior testing such as an IEP will be included in the report.
Our screenings begin with a detailed phone interview to gather important information regarding family history, educational history, and more. We then schedule a time for the student to receive testing with 4–5 standardized tests. After testing is concluded, the screener processes the data and completes a report on the findings. The screener then sets up a time to meet with the parent(s) to discuss the findings, explain their meaning, and discuss possible accommodations and remediations.
